This
is my 5th year at Estes Elementary as a resource teacher, and my tenth year in
Buncombe County Schools. I look forward
to a great year, working with the awesome team of students and teachers in our
school. Together we will be exploring
and practicing skills and habits to help us all become leaders in our schools,
our families and our community!
I grew up in Cocoa Florida near the Kennedy Space Center, where my
father worked as an engineer for NASA. My husband & I have lived at
West Point, NY at the United States Military Academy, Columbia SC, and
Rockledge, Florida, before moving to the Asheville area in 2005. Western
North Carolina feels the most like home of any place we’ve been! We
absolutely love it here! We have raised 3 boys, who are now grown, and we
currently live with Ginger, our 13 year old shepherd/retriever mix in
Hendersonville.
I look forward to working with students to help each person
maximize his/her abilities, work on developing challenging goals for
themselves, and working hard toward meeting those goals.
