Welcome
to Estes Elementary. We look forward to having your child attend
Estes. We hope this section of our website will help you navigate the
Registration process. Please make sure you check each section for
information and paperwork necessary for registration.
In
the 2016-17 School Year, Estes Elementary will start the third year as a
Leader in Me School. The Leader in Me, is currently being used in 1,998
schools across the globe. Estes is the first school in the Asheville
Buncombe County area to become a Leader in Me model school.
The Leader in Me is an approach to developing a culture of leadership in our school and is based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
by Stephen Covey. Founded on internationally recognized and universal
principles, The Leader in Me model emphasizes skills that students need
in order to be successful in an ever changing society.
Developing
a culture of leadership in our school is about helping students be the
leaders of their own lives. The Leader in Me helps them identify their
own unique talents and abilities and encourages them to make a positive
difference in the world.
We
hope you will join with us in embracing the changes that we are making
at Estes. This past year, staff and students have been hard at work
implementing The Leader in Me in our school. Thank you for your help in
making enrollment a smooth process and we look forward to having your
child attend school at Estes.
